Islamic Dream Interpretation of Enmity, Criticism, and Rejoicing Over Misfortune

Interpretation of Enmity in a Dream

In a dream, enmity symbolizes love, as love is the opposite of enmity.

While interpreting dreams, one of the factors considered is the opposition between two elements.

Often, things are interpreted based on their opposites. For example, darkness may be referred to as light.

Interpretation of Criticizing Someone in a Dream

Criticizing someone in a dream means that the criticism directed at another will manifest in the critic’s own life.

If someone sees in their dream that they called someone poor or mocked them for their poverty, the critic will themselves become poor in real life.

I have personally experienced this. Whenever I criticized or said something about someone in a dream, it happened to me in reality. This has never proven wrong.

That is why it is said: Do not criticize others, lest you develop the same flaw, for acquiring a flaw is one of the greatest trials.

Interpretation of Rejoicing Over Someone’s Misfortune in a Dream

A wise person should neither criticize others nor rejoice over their misfortunes, even if the afflicted is an enemy.

In our town of Qafsa, there was a man known for mocking others. He would imitate people in front of gatherings, making them laugh.

On one occasion, he imitated someone, causing everyone to laugh. However, the person being mocked felt deeply offended but didn’t show it outwardly.

Shortly afterward, the mocker developed an illness in his head and began speaking nonsensical words, exactly like the person he had mocked.

These utterances were unimaginable for any sensible person, and soon after, the mocker passed away.

After learning about this incident, I refrained from mocking even ordinary people, let alone enemies, and never found joy in someone else’s suffering.
