Seeing Young, Middle-Aged, and Elderly Individuals
Seeing Young Individuals in Dreams:
The young person seen in a dream represents an enemy. This is because young people generally do not listen to anyone. If someone sees in a dream that a young person is chasing them, it means that the enemy will overpower them.
If someone dreams that they are chasing a young person, it means that they will prevail over the enemy.
If someone sees in a dream that their appearance is poor, it should be interpreted as: “You are pursuing young people for improper reasons.”
Seeing Middle-Aged and Elderly Individuals:
Both middle-aged and elderly individuals in a dream are symbols of the dreamer’s greatness and dignity. The one whose beard is more white signifies more goodness in terms of interpretation.
The appearance of middle-aged or elderly individuals in a dream, whether strong or weak, indicates the strength or weakness of the dreamer’s greatness and power.
Thus, if someone dreams that they are with an elderly person, speaking to them, or ruling over them, and the elderly person is in a good condition, the interpretation is that the dreamer will attain respect and a high position. This is because the elderly person has gone through all stages of life and has the experience of how things happen, so they typically command good actions and forbid bad ones.
If a young person sees in a dream that they have become elderly, it means they will be enriched with knowledge and education.
If an elderly person dreams that they have become young again, it means they will experience happiness because their weakness will turn into strength.
Some interpreters have said that if an elderly person in a dream adopts childlike traits, it also signifies the same interpretation, although this is considered a very unpleasant dream, symbolizing hardship and a fall from position.
An elderly person dreamt that his beard had turned black. Imam Qaraafi interpreted it as: “You had some fields or gardens that were nearly ruined due to lack of water, but they have now become green again.”
Another person had the same dream, and Imam Qaraafi said: “There is some discord between you and your relatives.” This turned out to be true.
Another person had the same dream, and Imam Qaraafi said: “You have engaged in ignorant actions.” When a sick person had the same dream, Imam Qaraafi said: “The sick person will recover because, after weakness, strength has come.”
All of Imam Qaraafi’s interpretations came true.
Imam Qaraafi once said: “If someone sees in a dream that they have become the owner of middle-aged or young individuals, it is a sign that they will achieve victory over their enemies, and they will obey him.” The Sheikh further added: “If someone sees in a dream that they are commanding middle-aged individuals, it means that if they have a task, they will face some difficulties in completing it. If they are commanding elderly individuals, their tasks will be completed smoothly.”
