Interpretation of Childbirth in a Dream:
Childbirth in a dream, if accompanied by screaming or taking place in an inappropriate location, is a sign of impending calamity.
A person once told Imam Qarafi, ‘I saw in my dream that I was giving birth, and I was screaming intensely due to the pain.’ Imam Qarafi responded, ‘You may suffer from stomach pain.’
Another person had a similar dream and asked Imam Qarafi for its interpretation. He replied, ‘A thief will come to your house, and there will be a lot of shouting and chaos.’
If the child born in the dream is a girl, the dreamer will soon be relieved from a calamity. However, if the child is a boy, it signifies that some misfortune will befall the dreamer. They might get entangled in a complicated issue unrelated to them, but they will eventually find a way out.
Imam Shihab al-Din al-Qarafi further stated:
‘Childbirth in a dream may also indicate the return of someone who has been traveling.’
A person once said to him, ‘I saw in my dream that I gave birth to an ox.’ Imam Qarafi replied, ‘An animal of yours that had run away will return to you.’
A woman told him, ‘I saw in my dream that I gave birth to a deer.’ Imam Qarafi replied, ‘An animal of yours that had run away will return to you.’
Another woman told him the same dream. Imam Qarafi said, ‘Your son, who is away on a journey, will return.’
All these interpretations by Imam Qarafi came true as foretold.
Sometimes, the door in a dream may symbolize divorce.
