Islamic Dream Interpretation of Jewelry & Crowns in Dreams
Interpretation of Jewelry in Dreams:
Dreaming of a woman wearing or seeing jewelry and garments is a sign of honor and dignity. In Arabic, masculine names for garments signify men, while feminine names signify women. For example, halqah (bracelet or bangle) and jawharah (gem or precious stone).
If a woman dreams of wearing jewelry, she is unmarried, it indicates marriage. If she is pregnant, it foretells the birth of a boy.
Dreaming of jewelry can symbolize:
Good deeds, wealth, slaves, or a house.
If someone is unfit to wear jewelry, it indicates trouble caused by an influential person.
Honor and prestige, as jewelry is typically worn by women from wealthy and noble families.
Marriage, since jewelry is often adorned during weddings.
Children, like jewelry, are carried and kept for a long time, similar to the way children are nurtured.
Wealth, as only the affluent can afford jewelry.
Deeds, as jewelry, reflect human effort in creating or commissioning it.
Economy, since jewelry is bought and sold.
Slaves, as both slaves and jewelry, serve a purpose.
A house, since parts of the body interact with jewelry, is similar to how people interact within a home.
Examples from Jewelry in Dreams:
A man told Imam Shihab al-Din al-Qarafi (RA): “I saw anklets on my feet in a dream.”
Imam replied, “You will experience severe pain in your feet.” This came true as the man suffered foot pain.
Another man said, “I saw a necklace around my neck in a dream.”
Imam responded, “You owe someone a debt, and they will pursue you to settle it.”
A man said: “I saw a golden nose ring with a red ruby in my nose.” Imam interpreted, “You will suffer a nosebleed with heavy blood flow.”
A man asked Imam Ibn Sirin (RA): “I saw a crown on my head in a dream.”
Ibn Sirin replied, “Your father, who is abroad, has lost his eyesight.” When asked about the reasoning, he explained:
“The crown represents the father as its owner, and the gold signifies the loss of something precious. In this case, the precious entity is the father’s vision.”
Interpretation of Crowns in Dreams:
A crown sometimes symbolizes a woman.
If a woman dreams of a crown, it represents her husband.
If she is pregnant, it foretells the birth of a boy.
If the crown is golden, it implies the husband is old and may pass away soon, as gold (dhahab) symbolizes departure.
Aklee (jeweled tiara): Represents a crown. If a merchant dreams of removing a jeweled crown, it signifies the loss of wealth.
