The Interpretation of Nails in Dreams
Seeing nails in a dream is a symbol of assistance for a person.
If the tips of the nails appearing in the dream are medium-sized, it indicates improvement in both a person’s religion and worldly matters. If the length of the nails in the dream appears to be beautiful, it signifies wealth, good clothing, preparation for facing enemies with weapons, engaging in debates with strong arguments, and acquiring wealth that protects one from the harm of enemies.
If someone sees in a dream that their nails have grown so long that there is a fear of them breaking, it indicates that the dreamer will spoil the work of their employer. The whiteness of the nails in a dream suggests anger, while the shrinking of the nails indicates the giving of Zakat al-Fitr.
A person once told Imam Shahab al-Din Quraafi, “I saw in a dream that my hands were without nails.” The Imam replied, “You are not performing your obligatory prayers correctly.”
Another person saw the same dream, and the Imam said, “An enemy of yours will die, or there will be various incidents that will occur to you.” A third person mentioned to the Sheikh, “I saw in a dream that I was cutting people’s nails.” The Sheikh said, “You are taking things that belong to others, like hats or clothing.” When women or children apply henna on their hands in a dream, it is a sign of joy and beauty.
If a person who is not deserving of henna application, such as a man, sees this in a dream, it is an indication that false things will be said about him.
If a woman dreams that there are clay designs on her hands, it signifies her wickedness. If there are gold designs on her hands, it indicates that she will give her wealth to her husband, and her problems will be resolved.
