Islamic Dream Interpretation of Signs of Islam, Conversion, and Miswak

Dreams Indicating the Acceptance of Islam

Some interpreters say that if a non-Muslim dreams of being in Paradise, or someone else dreams this for them, or if they see themselves wearing silver bracelets, it is a sign of their acceptance of Islam.
Similarly, if someone dreams of entering a fortress, they will accept Islam because the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said that Allah states:

«لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ حِصْنِي، فَمَنْ دَخَلَهُ أَمِنَ عَذَابِي»
(Musnad Al-Shihab, Hadith: 1451)
Translation: “La ilaha illallah is my fortress. Whoever enters it is safe from My punishment.”

If a non-Muslim dreams that they have accepted Islam, are praying towards the Kaaba, or are remembering Allah, it is also a sign of their acceptance of Islam because Allah says:

«مَا يَفْعَلُ اللَّهُ بِعَذَابِكُمْ إِن شَكَرْتُمْ وَآمَنْتُمْ»
(Surah An-Nisa: 4:147)
Translation: “What would Allah do with your punishment if you are grateful and believe?”

If a non-Muslim dreams of being dead and then brought back to life, it symbolizes their acceptance of Islam, as Allah equates faith with life and disbelief with death.
Similarly, if a non-Muslim dreams of their chest expanding, it signifies their conversion to Islam because Allah says:

«فَمَن يُرِدِ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَهْدِيَهُ يَشْرَحْ صَدْرَهُ لِلْإِسْلَامِ»
(Surah Al-An‘am: 6:125)
Translation: “So the one whom Allah wills to guide – He expands their chest for Islam.”

Dreaming of Boarding Noah’s Ark

If a non-Muslim dreams of boarding Noah’s Ark, it indicates they will soon accept Islam because no disbeliever boarded Noah’s Ark.

Migration from Disbelief to Islam

If a non-Muslim dreams of moving from the land of disbelief to the land of Islam, it suggests their death is near, as they are transitioning to the land of truth.

Dreams of a Muslim About Faith

If a Muslim dreams of saying, “I have come to faith,” it means their worldly matters will improve. If they dream of accepting Islam a second time, they will be safe from calamities and afflictions.

A Jewish man once dreamed that he was sweeping the Prophet’s tomb. Sheikh Shihabuddin Al-Qarafi interpreted the dream as a sign that he would accept Islam and live near the Prophet’s tomb.

Islamic Dream Interpretation of Miswak (Toothstick):

Using the miswak is one of the natural practices. It reduces gaps between teeth and freshens breath.

If someone dreams of using a miswak, it indicates that they will strengthen ties with their relatives. However, if they dream of using an impure object as a miswak, they will use unlawful wealth for a virtuous act, and they should avoid doing so after such a dream.
