Meanings of Branding, Kohl, Medication, and Eating in Dreams

Interpretation of Branding the Body in a Dream:

Branding the body in a dream signifies finding a treasure and spending it in disobedience to Allah. Allah Almighty says:
“Then they will be branded with it on their foreheads, their sides, and their backs” (At-Tawbah: 9:35).

Interpretation of Being Branded in a Dream:

Being branded in a dream is also an indication of the dreamer’s stinginess and the false rumors spread about them.
Sometimes, branding in a dream points to an illness that may require such a treatment.

Interpretation of Applying Kohl, Using Nasal Medication, and Taking an Enema in a Dream:

If someone dreams of applying kohl as a form of treatment, it indicates that they will spend money on religious matters.

If they apply kohl for beautification purposes, it signifies their elevated status.

Nasal Medication in a Dream:

Using nasal medication in a dream symbolizes intense anger.

Taking an Enema in a Dream:

If someone dreams of taking an enema due to illness, it indicates that they will work on rectifying their religious matters.

If they take an enema without being ill, it suggests that they will take back something they had previously gifted.

Interpretation of Applying Oil on the Body in a Dream:

Applying oil on the body in a dream symbolizes praise for the dreamer.

If someone dreams of applying dirty oil, it is a sign that false things will be said about them.

If they dream of applying oil to someone else, it signifies flattery towards that person.

If the medicine taken in the dream is beneficial, it indicates that the dreamer will be cured by the people of the land where that medicine is found.

A man suffering from severe fever once told Imam Shihab ad-Din al-Qarafi that he saw in a dream that he had eaten an Egyptian cucumber. Imam Qarafi said, “Your recovery will come through an Egyptian physician,” and that is what happened.

Interpretation of Eating and Drinking in Dreams:

Eating sweet food in a dream is a sign of goodness because people often enjoy sweet things, and sweetness generally suits them well. Conversely, eating sour food symbolizes negativity since sour items are usually consumed with something else, and people generally do not prefer sour tastes.

Similarly, salty and bitter foods are also not favorable in dream interpretations, as they are typically consumed out of necessity and in combination with other items.
