Interpretation of Marriage in Dreams:
Seeing a marriage ceremony in a dream is a sign of distress, sorrow, and sin. This is because marriage ceremonies often involve musical instruments, dancing, and communal feasts.
Imam Hanbali states: “If someone sees music, wailing, crying, or self-beating in a place during a dream, and such acts are not common there, it symbolizes distress and grief for the people of that place.”
The interpretation of gathering for a celebratory meal depends on the surrounding context and details of the dream.
Some dream interpreters suggest that if a person sees themselves inviting others to a feast in a dream, it indicates they will undertake a task that will soon tire them. This interpretation is based on the story of Prophet Solomon (peace be upon him), who once prayed to host all of creation in a single feast but was unable to do so. This story is well-known.
If someone dreams of inviting people to an unknown feast that includes various fruits and beverages, it signifies they will call others to jihad (striving in the path of Allah). This interpretation is supported by the Quranic verse:
“They will call there for every kind of fruit and drink.” (Surah Sad: 51:38).
