Meaning of Heels, Toes, Feet, Hair Growth, and Skin Conditions in Dreams

Interpretation of Heel in a Dream:

Seeing heels in a dream signifies offspring. The breaking of a heel in a dream is a sign of the death of one’s child. In some cases, the breaking of a heel may indicate the death of the dreamer or a forthcoming calamity.

Toes in a dream represent slaves and livestock. Everything that the fingers symbolize in a dream is also symbolized by the toes of the feet. The significance of toes in a dream is similar to the symbolism of fingers being cut. Some interpreters believe that toes represent the children of the dreamer.

If someone dreams that their toe is pointing towards the sky, it signifies the death of their servant or maid.

One person said to Imam Shihab al-Din al-Qarafi, “I saw in my dream that I was eating my toes.” The Sheikh replied, “Your livelihood is connected to travel. During your travels, you will eat root vegetables (such as potatoes, turnips, carrots, radishes, sweet potatoes, etc.).”

Another person saw the same dream and mentioned that the toes also had eyes. The Sheikh replied, “You are eating snakes that always live underground.”

Interpretation of Seeing Feet in a Dream:

The interpretation of seeing feet in a dream is similar to the interpretation of seeing the legs and calves. If someone dreams that their foot is cut off, it indicates that if the dreamer is ill, they will die; if they have repented, they will return to sin; if they are a sinner, they will repent; if they are a traveler, they will face difficulties; if they are a disbeliever, they will embrace Islam; and if they are a ruler, they will be removed from their position. The key idea here is that each person’s step was cut off, indicating that they are no longer in the situation they were in.

If a rich person dreams that both of their feet are cut off, it indicates that they will soon face poverty. If the dreamer is poor or a beggar, they will find a city and not have to roam for sustenance because their feet are cut off. Dreaming of cut feet also signifies misleading a witness into giving false testimony or the corruption of a scholar or worshipper.

If the feet in the dream are beautiful, it is the opposite of the above interpretations.

If hair grows on the calves and feet, it signifies debt that will leave the debtor helpless. One person asked Imam Ibn Sirin, “I saw a lot of hair on a man’s calf.” He replied, “He will soon face a load of debts, and his death will occur in prison.” The person confirmed this interpretation when the man died with a debt of forty thousand dirhams, which was paid by someone after his death.

Dreams of Hair Growing on the Body:

Dreaming of hair growing on the body, especially for unmarried people, signifies marriage. If the dreamer is already married, it indicates that the wife will be pregnant, and if she is pregnant, it may suggest a male child. If a woman sees hair growing on her body in a dream, it is a sign of impending calamity, distress, and dishonor.

In winter, seeing hair growing on the face signifies obtaining clothes and escaping from illness or trouble. If seen in summer or when the dreamer is feeling hot, it signifies increasing problems, debts, and prolonged illness.

Dreaming of hair turning white indicates financial loss if the dreamer is rich, or heavy debt that cannot be repaid if the dreamer is poor.

If someone dreams that the hair on their body has turned into money or livestock, it indicates that they will fall into misfortune.

Hair Growing on the Palm:

Dreaming of hair growing on the palm signifies that someone will commit adultery with the dreamer’s wife. This is because the inner part of the palm has heat and moisture similar to a woman’s private parts.

Dreaming of Hair Growing on the Back of the Palm:

This is a sign of the dreamer’s death and the growth of grass on their grave after burial.

Boils, Pimples, Itching, Scabies, Smallpox, and Skin Diseases: Dreaming of such diseases signifies benefits and troubles that will end soon. This is because, when a boil or pimple discharges pus, the pain is relieved.

If someone dreams of a boil on their face or neck, with pus flowing and soiling their clothes, it is a sign of debts, distress, and false rumors related to the dreamer.

One person dreamed that they had leprosy. Imam Ibn Sirin interpreted this as: “You are falsely accused of something from which you will be cleared.”

If someone dreams of having leprosy while praying, it indicates that they have forgotten the Qur’an.

One person shared with Imam Shihab al-Din al-Qarafi that they saw itching on their back. The Sheikh replied: “There will be some talk about you that will be distressing to hear.” This came true.

Another person had the same dream, and the Sheikh said, “You will be involved in something that you will regret.” Again, this was true.

Another person said to the Sheikh, “I saw that I was making boils on people’s bodies and extracting sweet water from them.” The Sheikh replied, “You are extracting rose water from glass vessels.” This was also confirmed true.

Another person saw women with boils and said they were washing them with mud. The Sheikh replied, “You are about to buy or rent a garden, which contains orange and pomegranate trees, and you will take care of it yourself.” The women represent the trees, and the boils represent the mentioned fruits.

Another person shared with the Sheikh that they had killed a woman with large boils. The Sheikh replied, “You have cut down a fruit-bearing tree.”

Another person reported that they were eating the flesh of people and boils. The Sheikh said, “You speak ill of others behind their backs.”

Another person said to the Sheikh, “I am grafting trees.” The Sheikh replied, “You are working with plants and trees.”

Another person reported, “I am stealing fruit from trees and selling them to others.” The Sheikh replied, “You are mixing one person’s wealth with another.”

Finally, someone dreamed they were drinking the pus from boils. The Sheikh replied, “You are doing something inappropriate with others.”
