The tongue in a dream represents a son, father, close relative, friend, honor, profession, or worship.
Any goodness or harm observed in the tongue reflects on what it symbolizes.
If the Tongue is Cut, Blackened, Sealed, or Defective:
It signifies the end of worship.
Separation from a son, father, friend, teacher, or anyone providing benefit.
Loss of honor or livelihood.
Defeat in a quarrel or receiving an unfavorable outcome.
Once, Hajjaj bin Yusuf was angered by Layla Akhiliya’s words and ordered his soldiers to cut off her tongue. She said:
“Your commander intended to silence my tongue through kindness and generosity, so that I may never have to ask for anything again.”

“You are a snake charmer, searching for snakes in their dwellings.”
