Dream Interpretation: Seeing a Camel or She-Camel in a Dream
Whoever sees a camel in their dream, rides it, or becomes its owner, this indicates beauty, prosperity, and blessings.
A camel seen in a dream is also a symbol of a patient and resilient person because camels bear burdens.
Seeing a camel in a dream signifies a journey.
If a sick person sees themselves riding a camel in a dream, it signifies their death, as camels are used to transport loved ones to far-off places.
A man in Qafsa dreamt that he rode a camel bareback, naked, and exited the city gates. I told him that he would pass away. At the time of interpretation, he was perfectly healthy, but he fell ill and passed away within fifteen days.
We have previously mentioned that seeing a camel in a dream also indicates the fulfillment of one’s needs.
An Arabian camel symbolizes an Arab person, while a long-necked Iranian camel indicates a foreigner.
Seeing a She-Camel:
A she-camel in a dream represents a woman, prosperity, and happiness.
Seeing a camel driver in a dream symbolizes a person who travels frequently, is patient, and is respected among prominent people.
The distinguished scholar Sheikh Shihab al-Din al-Qarafi said:
“Whoever dreams of riding any of these animals in a dignified manner, if they have a need, it will be fulfilled. If they are unmarried, they will get married. If they wish to travel, their journey will be facilitated. They may purchase a slave, a house, a garden, or a boat, or they may gain the companionship of someone with similar qualities.”
A camel bellowing in the sky in a dream signifies heavy rainfall.
Hearing the sound of galloping animals without seeing them in a dream also carries the same meaning.
If someone dreams of buying camels, it means they will succeed in deceiving their enemy.
Falling from a camel in a dream indicates poverty and neediness.
If someone dreams of holding the reins of a camel and guiding it to the correct path, it means they will guide a wealthy person toward righteousness.
If someone dreams of leading a camel astray, it indicates they will lead a wealthy person toward misguidance.
If someone dreams of herding camels and they are fine-bred Arabian camels, it suggests that person will govern an Arab state.
If they dream of herding foreign camels, it means they will govern a foreign state.
A man dreamt that he had loaded white sheets onto a donkey, which then suddenly transformed into a motionless camel, neither moving forward nor backward. Sheikh Shihab al-Din al-Qarafi explained:
“You sent some books through someone, assuming they knew the location, but the person was completely ignorant and unfamiliar with the place. This is because a donkey knows its owner’s home, unlike a camel, which is unaware of it.”
Warning:
The esteemed Sheikh Shihab al-Din al-Qarafi said:
“When interpreting a camel seen in a dream as a sign of goodness, one should consider what type of camel it is.”
- If the camel is carrying trade goods, it indicates that goodness will come from a journey or a traveler.
- If the camel is carrying wood or sacks of grain, it suggests benefits will come from gardens or farming.
- If the camel is carrying water skins, it signifies blessings from rain, springs, or seas.
- If the camel is hauling water, the dreamer will benefit from someone who carries water for a living.
If the dreamer is not riding the camel in a dignified manner, the interpretation should still follow the principles provided above.
